August — reforming the classics

August.tf is our own type foundry, pursuing the new forms that emerge when history is unravelled and reinterpreted through a contemporary lens — developing typefaces as one of the foundational elements of graphic design. We handled everything from its brand design to digital communication and the build of its commerce system. The frontend is built on Astro, with dynamic features such as glyph sets and a type tester included as standard and Stripe integrated for checkout, resulting in a minimal, highly maintainable site.

弊社主宰のタイプファウンダリ——August Type Foundryでは、歴史を紐解き、現代の思想を交えながら再解釈することで生まれるニューフォームを追い求め、グラフィックデザインの大きな構成要素である書体の開発を行っています。私たちはそのブランドデザインからデジタルコミュニケーション、また販売システム構築を手掛けました。フロントエンドをAstroで構築し、グリフセットやタイプテスターといった動的機能を標準搭載し、Stripeを決済機能として実装することでミニマルで保守性の高いサイトとしています。
