Mischen Typefoundry

We developed the visual identity and digital communication for Mischen Type Foundry. Rather than fix a logotype, Mischen applies the variable logotype by its own typefaces as the mark itself — letting the identity remain in motion, attuned to a sensibility that is always changing. At www.mischen.tf, dynamic features — a type tester, a variable-axis tester, and integrated checkout — are built on a modern JAMstack architecture combining a contemporary JavaScript framework, a headless CMS, and Stripe, supporting both fine-grained customisation and content management. Mischen Typefoundry is a communal foundry, born from the mingling of histories, cultures, and eras that were never meant to come together. We take masterpieces that were never meant to share a page — examining their era, weighing their historical perspective — and, through a contemporary sensibility, deconstruct them and shape them anew.
